On March 1st, the conservancy hosted a Kick off Cocktail Party at Waveny House to announce its first major fundraiser, the Golden Gala on December 2nd, 2017. at Waveny House.

An update of Waveny Park Conservancy projects was presented and fundraising plans for the Gala were announced to major donors and  town and community partners of the Conservancy.

The Golden Gala will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Ruth Lapham Lloyd entrusting her family’s Waveny estate to the Town of New Canaan and will raise the funding necessary to restore

Waveny Park’s pond and its surrounding landscape to its former glory.

The actor Christopher Lloyd, son of Ruth Lapham Lloyd and former resident of Waveny House, and his wife Lisa will be the Honorary Co-Chairs of the event.

WPC board members Arianne Kolb, Bill Holmes, and Scott Gress are the Co-Chairs of the Gala.

The fundraiser, with its Gilded Age theme, will be an elegant black tie dinner at Waveny  House with a live auction, entertainment and dancing.
