Woodlands restoration at Waveny Park is underway. The project has been in the planning for the past 18 months and is expected to continue through the next several years. Invasive and undesirable plants and shrubs will be removed from the understory to encourage the growth of native species that are typically present in a healthy Connecticut woodland. The Conservancy is funding this work with a major grant from the Jeniam Foundation.
