The woodlands restoration project is underway at Waveny Park! Work began in early January and is expected to continue over the next several years. The project will remove invasives and undergrowth in an effort to restore native plant species that are typically present in a healthy Connecticut woodland. These native plants and shrubs provide important food, nesting grounds and cover for native birds and animals. The Conservancy is funding this work with a major grant form the Jeniam Foundation
